Can you pay somebody else’s credit card bill?

My brother went on vacation and forgot to pay his credit card which is due in a week. Since he wont be home in time and does not have online payment set up can I write a check to pay his bill? Will this cause a problem with the credit card company or will they accept it?
Has any one got help through a reputable business company who helps reduce your debt?

What i want is a Company you can trust to help get your credit card debt down or reduce the interest being charged and maybe a credit card company with low interest charges to change to

Credit card debt and 1099c forms. Once you file taxes will your credit card debt with company be gone?

I recieved a 1099c form from a credit card company for a settled credit card debt. The amount is for $10,000. I only make $31,000 per year. Will I end up owing on taxes due to being in a different tax bracket?Will the debt finally be gone?

I haven’t needed checks until now as I’ve just been able to pay my bills online, but my credit card company charges a fee for paying over the phone or online, so I will need to pay my bill using a check.
