I really don’t feel comfortable mailing a check out, so is it possible to walk to the Wells Fargo across the street and hand-deliver the payment check to them there?

Most likely there is a website for the credit card. If there is, you can probably pay online with your bank account. I have a Bank of America credit card, but I bank elsewhere. I can still go on the B of A website and pay my credit card.
