How can I immediately pay a Credit Card bill?

pay credit card bill
Unknown asked:

I have to pay my credit card bill by today 10/12.

I was hoping there was a way to immediately pay it off. The Bank of America BillPay says it will deliver the payment tomorrow.

Tomorrow, unfortunately, is too late…

Any help would be wonderful!

Call the credit card company. You can usually pay over the phone though sometimes they charge a fee to do this.

Go to the nearest branch and try giving a payment (i dont have b of a, so i wouldn’t know if they accept this, I think they do though). If they do accept it, then you are not liable anymore because you “secured” the payment on or before the due date. Or (i dont know if they have this) use the expedited fast pay. They charge you $15, but its better than a $35 late payment fee, a neg on your credit report, and the application of a default apr.

With BOA, you can go to any BOA branch and pay it in the lobby or drive thru. That would be instant and your best bet.

If you do not have any BOA banks around you, I’d call the number on the back of the card or your statement, and see if you can make an instant payment over the phone. My credit card charges $15 to do this, but it posts immediately.

    Good Luck!

Log in to your account at the credit card’s web site. You may be able to pay online with your checking account number. If you are successful, be sure to cancel your BoA payment to avoid double paying.
