fiance joining army and I need to reduce my total debt amount immediately?

debt reduce
unknown asked:

Will debt consolidation do this? I believe you can only have around 3200$ in debt total, he has none but I have around 5 to $6000 in debt right now, maybe a little more and I have about a month to reduce this amount significantly or at least get it down to $3200
Sorry I forgot to note we will be getting married before he leaves to basic in jan.

Debt consolidation is generally a high priced, big loan.

So the answer is no, it will not help you. It will make your problems worse.

What you need is credit counseling.

To find a legitimate counselor, contact the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at NFCC.org or call 1-800-388-2227.

No, you will not find a loan in this short amount of time due to the economy. But, yes a consolidation loan will get your monthly payments down.

Note to your fiance: DON’T GET MARRIED before basic training. The separation from your new wife and the lack of the joy of *** will kill (” “) you. I saw how it affected guys when I was in military basic training.
On his first leave you two can discuss the causes of your debt, how to cure it and then lead a debt free life style. If you two are compatible in your financial views, then have a happy marriage and life. But remember, finances/financial difficulties are the number 1 reason for divorce, and the Army still does not pay that much. P.S. Debt consolidation just changes the terms of your debt, not the amount.

Loan consolidation combines all your student loans into one bigger loan from a single loan with one lender and one compensation plan. Visit this website below you find some great answer for your question
