You'll have to call though. Some places only offer assistance if you have $10,000 or more of debt. You can call the companies yourself though and typically get the same results. Just explain what you are trying to do and ask how they can help you. They can reduce your interest rates, offer you a decreased pay-off amount if you pay it off in full, etc. That being said, I fail to see why you need to reduce your debt simply because your fiance' is joining the military.
