Will debt consolidation do this? I believe you can only have around 3200$ in debt total, he has none but I have around 5 to $6000 in debt right now, maybe a little more and I have about a month to reduce this amount significantly or at least get it down to $3200
Sorry I forgot to note we will be getting married before he leaves to basic in jan.

Yes, debt consolidation might help. You’ll have to call though. Some places only offer assistance if you have $10,000 or more of debt. You can call the companies yourself though and typically get the same results. Just explain what you are trying to do and ask how they can help you. They can reduce your interest rates, offer you a decreased pay-off amount if you pay it off in full, etc.
That being said, I fail to see why you need to reduce your debt simply because your fiance’ is joining the military. Because you two are not married, they won’t even be looking at any of your accounts (except for ones that are joint).

What does this have to do with the military? Those are your debts in your name and you need to take care of them. Try calling debt consolidation places and find out if they can help you or not or re post this question in the finance section.

the military doesn’t give a **** about the little girl he’s fooling around with
you mean absolutely nothing to the military, you are not married
so get a job, or do something and reduce YOUR debt
