Obama or Nader asked:
The Reagan, Bush, and Bush Presidencies have clearly demonstrated that trickle down economics balloon the National Debt. Why do Republican candidates still call for tax reductions which will create more debt and reduce the value of the dollar?

Racist Pig - That simply isn’t true.
Locutus1- That’s a great theory, but it has been shown since 1980 to be false.

Cutting taxes promotes growth and growth creates jobs meaning more taxes to pay off the debt.

There are other ways to make income besides taxes. The tariff brings in a lot of foreign money. Also by lowering taxes the government would spend less on policies and leave it for the private sector.

So if they raise taxes you get angry, and when they cut taxes you get angry? When they defend the country you get angry when they don’t defend the country they get angry? Kind of a lose lose situation you made up there. And what does the national debt have to do with you in the least bit. Every country has a national debt.

It is the biggest scam in politics…There are only two options: You either cut spending or increase taxes. Running up the debt is no way to do things.

tax revenues have gone up since the Bush tax cuts. the problem is the current crop of republicans in congress have been spending money like it’s going out of style.

Need to look at context, and how the books were manipulated. Don’t just blindly accept a Democratic party’s website.

Because there has been massive spending across the board each time the taxes are cut. More money comes in to the treasure thru increased economic activity, the the bastards in washington keep spending on everything from heathcare, to education, and waist it with no value in return.
Yes I know heathcare is important and education is important, but the government is miserablr at administration and their education ideas always fail.
What do we have to show for it, Schools are substandard, heath care gets more expensive with every new law, the social securrity system will be bankrupt, medicare is balloning, wile our roads are falling apart, and other infrastructure disintigrates, but spending on these issues are at an all time high. Maybe the government schould just worry about defence and leave us americans to run our own lives!
Then we could cut taxes to the bone have plenty of mony to by our own health care and send out children to public schools, wile giving to charity for the poor an d unfortunate, instead of having the government do it for us!
EDIT - Intead of casting judgement on the answers, Why dosen’t the asker give up a breif overview of economics.
Who can you put out their in form of economic theroy that trumps Milton Freedman?…..Kusenich or polocy maybe?
Here’s what Polosi thinks is a good tax policy, explain how this will help create jobs!
“We democrats are going to address this issue after the election when we take control of the congress. We will return to the 60% to 80% tax rates on the rich and we will be able to take at least 30% of all l current lower income tax payers off the rolls and increase government income substantially.” We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.”
When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied: “We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as ‘Americans’”
Morons, All the weathy will take the jobs and the companies off shore.

By cutting wasteful spending. Not to mention that tax cuts allow people to keep, earn and invest more money.Being a Lib I know you will **** this but it is the Wal*Mart system,,, It is not the amount you get from a single product(percentage of each dollar) but the amount of dollars you get a percentage of. You can take less from each dollar and still bring in higher revenue if there are more dollars to be taxed.

If you can’t pay for it yourself it is your own fault, no need to waste tax money for it, be it health, schools, or save people from flooding. So the government doesn’t need that much tax money. And making companies and rich people pay taxes is bad for the economy, everybody knows that.
And Santa Claus is real.
