Are the creditors going to come after me for credit debt?
Posted by admin in Credit Cards on January 14th, 2010
I studied abroad for a year in England, and had a credit card issued from a British bank. I had 1 pound in balance on my card (that’s like $2.00 USD). I’ve been back in the States for a year, and the interest is slowly building up, like a few cents each month, and it’s like $2.50 now. I haven’t paid it yet. Will the bank hand their file to a credit card debt agency and will they come after something as low as $2.50???
Should I combine my credit debt into one card?

I have 3 credit cards. Altogether I owe about $1,500. I’ve been thinking, would it make more sense to combine all three debts into one card. This one card would be an additional fourth card with a higher credit limit and 0% APR till April 09. I’m paying extra finance charges for late fees on my other cards so I’m thinking it would be good to put them all into one card and have a clean start. What do you guys think?
I have credit debt that is over five years and written off. Should I pay it?

I am trying to improve my credit. Most of the debt that I have occurred betwwen 2002-2004. Most of it has been written off. I get settlement letters sometimes. I do not plan on making any big purchases within the next two years. Should I pay off the debt and if I do will it raise my score? Or should I let the debt fall off by 2010?
Why do news agencies never report on Americans who pay credit cards in full?

Seriously, every time a news show does a story about credit cards they always talk about those in the worst situation and make the CC companies look evil. Why do news agencies ever talk about CC users who pay in full each month and reap the rewards such as cashback, miles, etc. with no interest or fees? If you are going to bad-mouth and industry at least present both sides.

Will debt consolidation do this? I believe you can only have around 3200$ in debt total, he has none but I have around 5 to $6000 in debt right now, maybe a little more and I have about a month to reduce this amount significantly or at least get it down to $3200
Sorry I forgot to note we will be getting married before he leaves to basic in jan.
